Angélica Salvador

InDiferente

Chef Angélica Salvador is a Brazilian-born chef making a significant mark on Porto's gastronomic scene. Her professional journey in Portugal includes pivotal roles in major hotel openings such as the Tróia Design Hotel and Jupiter Lisboa Hotel, experiences that deeply enriched her culinary perspective.

Driven by a bold move to Portugal at 21, she eventually partnered with Chef Tiago Bonito, her future husband, to co-found Restaurante InDiferente in Foz do Douro (2019). As the chef leading the kitchen, she has established the restaurant as a destination for contemporary Portuguese cuisine, known for transforming seasonal produce into culinary art.

Beyond the plate, Chef Salvador is a dedicated advocate for sustainability and local producers, making InDiferente a leader in the sustainable gastronomy movement. Her work celebrates the fusion of her Brazilian roots with Portuguese tradition, creating a unique and emotionally resonant dining experience.

I really enjoy ordering the roast veal at Porinhos; they genuinely change the menu often, giving us the opportunity to share something different each time
At Casa Lindo, the best codfish, in my opinion, is served with crispy, hot potatoes
Breakfast at Formosa Bakery always features such a wide selection of breads that it's hard to choose
Brites' croissants are wonderful
The wet pastries from the Baltar croissant shop are amazing
Speaking of street food, each restaurant I mentioned has a favorite dish
