Daniel Carvalheira
Chef Daniel Carvalheiral, born in Mozambique and raised in Portugal, forged his culinary path after initial studies in Management. His fine-dining career began with a formative position under Chef Pedro Lemos and accelerated with a significant stage at the world-renowned Noma in Denmark.
Upon returning to Portugal, he refined his craft in two of Porto's most distinguished kitchens: with Chef Ricardo Costa at The Yeatman and alongside Chef Vasco Coelho Santos at Euskalduna Studio.
In 2024, Chef Carvalheiral achieved a major personal and professional milestone with the opening of Liz, his first independent restaurant. Here, he synthesizes his extensive technical training with a unique cultural perspective, creating a cuisine that thoughtfully blends Portuguese foundations with his African heritage.
