Ikigai Omakase João Vitorino

Chef João Vitorino has dedicated over 18 years to mastering Japanese cuisine. His passion was sparked by an informal meal and cemented during a crucial nine-year apprenticeship, including five formative years under the mentorship of Chef Masaki Onishi at Restaurante Ichiban.

This journey culminates in Ikigai Omakase João Vitorino, a restaurant he co-owns with his companion, Leila. The project is the realization of a clear dream: to provide a truly authentic omakase experience where guests place their trust entirely in the chef's expertise and sensibility.

At Ikigai, every element is a tribute to Japanese tradition. Ingredients are selected and treated with profound respect, and dishes are executed with precision and simplicity, creating a unique gastronomic moment where the connection between chef, product, and guest embodies the true meaning of "ikigai"—one's reason for being.
