Chef Vítor Matos is a culinary master whose journey from a childhood in rural Vila Real to international acclaim is reflected in his profound respect for seasonal, authentic Portuguese ingredients. Over a nearly 30-year career, he has earned numerous national awards, including Chef of the Year (2003, 2013) and Best Chef in Portugal (2014).

As head chef of Casa da Calçada's Largo do Paço, he earned a Michelin star. His pinnacle achievement is Antiqvvm in Porto, which rapidly earned one Michelin star upon opening in 2015 and a coveted second star in 2024. A prolific consultant, he currently holds a total of five Michelin stars across projects like Blind and Oculto restaurants.

A champion of heritage and technique, Chef Matos is now realizing his dream: opening his own signature restaurant in 2026.
