Situated in the grand and evocative Vila Foz Hotel & SPA, a meticulously preserved 19th-century mansion overlooking Praia do Homem do Leme, Vila Foz restaurant offers a dining experience where historic opulence meets cutting-edge contemporary cuisine. The setting was once the luxurious function room of the mansion, and it maintains its palatial elegance with original details, goldsmithing and period lamps, creating an atmosphere of timeless sophistication perfect for a special evening.
The culinary vision is led by Chef Arnaldo Azevedo, who gave the restaurant its first Michelin star in 2022. His cuisine is a bold, precise and harmonious celebration of Portuguese flavours, with a particular focus on the Atlantic. The menu, renewed in 2025, features a choice between two distinct tasting journeys: the Maresia Menu, inspired by the rhythm of the tides and highlighting the excellence of coastal fish and seafood, and the all-vegetarian New World Menu, a creative exploration of plant-based flavors.
For a final, intimate experience, the exclusive "kitchen seat" is reserved for just two guests at a counter facing the stoves. Here, Chef Azevedo personally cooks for customers, offering an immersive and interactive gastronomic performance.
